Welcome to Simpets
This is the starting guide to the Simpets site: how to find your way around, care for pets, use items, and discover the main activities. Individual guides go deeper into breeding, genetics, and farming.
Your first visit
- Read the FAQ and the site rules. Simpets artwork includes AI-assisted art, and member profiles must remain suitable for a PG audience.
- Use Adopt to choose an available pet, name it, select a gender, and review the listed price before adopting.
- Open Dashboard or My Pets to find your collection. Select a pet to open its profile and available actions.
- Check your Inventory for starter items, then explore the Play and Buy menus.
- Set up My Profile so other members can learn about you. Keep custom profile content clean and safe.

Pet levels and growing
For regular Simpets and Bat pets, Level 1 displays as an Egg, Level 2 as a Baby, and Level 3 as an Adult. Realistics and Ittermat lines use their own level artwork and begin as babies.
The current timed growth schedule is 3 days from Level 1 to Level 2, then 4 more days to Level 3. A hatch notice is sent when an Egg-bearing Simpets or Bat pet reaches Level 2. A Mature Potion can immediately advance a pet to Level 3. Boosts and clicks are not required for the timed growth cron.
Pet profiles and care
- Use your Dashboard or My Pets list to manage the collection; open a pet’s profile for its details and actions.
- Private profile pages include owner controls. Public pet profiles show what visitors are allowed to see.
- The separate dressed-up view displays saved Dress-Up layers. It is designed to keep decorative overlays from crowding the main profile.
- Feed or heal pets when those controls are available. The Farm Guide explains growing and using crops for care.
- Pet profiles can show family history, visible genes, markings, health, and other information supported by that pet’s line.
Inventory and appearance
Open Inventory and choose an item’s Use action. Select the intended pet carefully, and confirm when the site asks. Equipped items can usually be removed from the pet’s profile and returned to Inventory.
- A pet can use one background and up to six foreground layers.
- Toys, plushes, companions, and buddies use front-item slots; the available slots are shown by the site.
- Companions and buddies are pet companions rather than ordinary toys. They appear on the main pet profiles.
- Drag-and-drop Dress-Up pieces are saved separately and shown in the dressed-up profile view.
- Base Swappers and customizers may be available for changing base art or creating customized pets. Read each page’s warning and item requirements before applying a permanent change.
Simbucks and the community
Simbucks (SB) are used in adoption, shops, and other site features. Ways to earn them include Boost for Bucks, quests and adventures, battles or sparring, selling pets, and farm activities. The exact reward depends on the feature; check its page.
Use Friends to manage requests, Members or Online to find people, and My Messages to communicate. Never share your password. If you need help, send an administrator the page name, pet ID if relevant, and any error text.

Breeding uses no-merge inheritance on the current Simpets setup. Genetics are inherited independently from the chosen base appearance. Start with the Breeding Guide, then explore the Genetics Guide and Games & Sparring Guide.
